Delta College Nursing: Programs, NCLEX & Requirements (2026)

Delta College is a public community college serving Bay, Midland, and Saginaw counties from a main campus in University Center, Michigan, with centers in Bay City, Midland, and Saginaw. According to Delta College’s student achievement outcome data on its Nursing (RN) program page, the first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate (percent of first-time takers passing) was 98.2% for calendar year 2024; the same table lists a 90.63% national first-time average for comparison. Prior years on that table show 98.2% (2023) and 87.88% (2022) for Delta’s first-time RN pass rate.

For NCLEX-PN, Delta’s Nursing (LPN) page lists 100% first-time pass for 2024, 96.6% for 2023, and 85% for 2022, with national comparison figures shown alongside.

Delta nursing uses limited enrollment tied to Michigan-approved clinical capacity. Students complete prerequisite “core” courses, then apply for validation through the Registrar during the final prerequisite semester. Published annual seat ranges from Delta’s nursing FAQ include: RN full-time up to 108 per year (54 fall / 54 winter); RN part-time 46 each fall; Paramedic/LPN-to-RN transition 30 each winter; LPN 30 each fall. Delta fits learners who value in-district community college pricing in the Great Lakes Bay Region, can accept a validation-to-clinical wait, and want blended instruction with substantial in-person lab and clinical time. It is a weaker fit if you need an immediate clinical start, a BSN without transferring, or cannot meet background check, immunization, and CNA-skill documentation requirements.

The Great Lakes Bay Region (Saginaw, Bay City, Midland corridor) mixes community hospitals, multi-hospital systems, long-term care, clinics, and home health employers. Delta states that most students live regionally, so clinical assignments emphasize reasonable travel when possible—though weekend or evening shifts still occur.

Delta’s main campus covers about 640 acres in University Center, with additional centers in Bay City, Midland, and Saginaw.
